About The Position

Alltown Bus Service is seeking Part-Time School Bus Drivers in Pulaski, IL. This is a flexible weekday position with summers off, offering paid CDL training and no experience necessary. The starting pay is $25.00/hour, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus for fully credentialed candidates with a CDL and Passenger and School Bus Endorsement. This role is ideal for retirees, stay-at-home parents, healthcare workers, veterans, or anyone seeking a second career or flexible job. Previous experience in roles like teacher aides, daycare workers, camp counselors, classroom assistants, school paraprofessionals, social workers, government employees, cashiers, retail associates, call center agents, or hotel/hospitality staff can be beneficial. The primary responsibility is to safely and punctually transport students to and from school and activities, including performing pre-trip inspections, ensuring child safety, and adhering to DOT regulations.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older
• Possess a CDL with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement (for sign-on bonus)
• Compliance with DOT regulations

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities
• Arrive at destinations on schedule
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Conduct child checks after each route
• Use navigation tools to plan efficient routes
• Maintain a clean, fueled, and well-maintained vehicle
• Keep accurate mileage and maintenance records
• Interact with students, parents, and staff in a professional manner
• Perform other duties as assigned
