About The Position

Building Connections Academy is a special education nonpublic school with locations in Concord and Martinez, CA. They help students grow, learn, and build independence. This role is in-person, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with a minimum availability requirement of Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay is $22 - $28/HR based on experience, certification, and education. A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days with paid training included. As a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional, you will provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences. You will help students develop communication, social, and life skills while fostering a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment.

Requirements

• RBT certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
• Required immunizations including MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hep B, and TB clearance (within 4 years).

• Bachelor’s in related field preferred.
