About The Position

PRO is seeking a School-Based Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide services through the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) in West Grove, PA. This is a full-time, 10-month position with M-F school day hours. As a PCA at PRO, you will be a vital member of the school team, delivering high-quality services to students in K-12 classrooms, including Autistic Support, Multiple Disabilities, and Life Skills classrooms. PRO is a smaller, locally owned company that invests in its employees, offering support, professional development, and a collaborative environment. Summers are off, with potential for Extended School Year (ESY) work, though not guaranteed.

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or higher.
A minimum of 6 months recent experience working with children in a school or daycare setting is required.
Must be comfortable using a computer.
Must be able to complete clinical documentation to school district standards.
Current clearances (within 6 months).

Responsibilities

Provide individualized support to a student based on their educational and behavioral needs.
Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and engagement in learning.
Support with behavior management strategies as directed by the teacher or behavioral team.
Help with daily living tasks such as mobility, toileting, feeding, and communication as needed.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support the student’s IEP goals.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures.
