About The Position

School-Based Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) are vital members of the school team, providing high-quality services to students in K-12 classrooms, including Autistic Support, Multiple Disabilities, and Life Skills settings. This is a full-time, 10-month position with M-F school day hours, following the school calendar for days off. Summers are off, with potential for Extended School Year (ESY) work. Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or higher.
• A minimum of 6 months recent experience working with children in a school or daycare setting is required.
• Must be comfortable using a computer.
• Must be able to complete clinical documentation to school district standards.
• Current clearances (within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to a student based on their educational and behavioral needs.
• Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and engagement in learning.
• Support with behavior management strategies as directed by the teacher or behavioral team.
• Help with daily living tasks such as mobility, toileting, feeding, and communication as needed.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support the student’s IEP goals.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures.
