School-Based Paraprofessional (K-12)
About The Position
As a BrightBee school paraprofessional, you will support students in local schools, focusing on their behavioral and socio-emotional goals as directed by each school site. The more sites and assignment types you are open to working, the greater your earning potential. BrightBee recruits candidates to support local schools and nonprofits. You will use the BrightBee app to claim assignments at schools/non-profits in your area and get paid a week later. Our goal is to help schools succeed and provide workers with the tools they need to grow in their careers. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy supporting behavioral growth for kids or teens, are patient, reliable, and positive, and are looking for flexible and/or consistent work. Several single-day assignments can convert to long-term opportunities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfort with paying for your background check and permit.
- Undergo a background check.
- Secure and pay for your educational aide permit.
- Follow safety and reporting guidelines.
- Pass a background check, livescan, and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances.
- Provide authorization to contact former employers.
Nice To Haves
- Willingness to commute to various school sites in the West Cleveland area.
- Open to working multiple sites and assignment types.
- Open to assignments as short as a single day or as long as multiple weeks/months.
Responsibilities

- Potentially lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
