About The Position

AnthroMed Education is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate School Occupational Therapist to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year in Monroe County, MI. This full-time opportunity supports students across multiple school settings (K-12), helping them develop the functional, sensory, fine motor, and self-care skills needed to be successful in the classroom and throughout the school day. You'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and related service providers to create meaningful, student-centered outcomes while receiving the ongoing support and mentorship AnthroMed is known for.

Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current or eligible Michigan Occupational Therapist licensure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous pediatric or school-based experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students, supporting a wide range of fine motor, sensory, self-care, and school participation needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' IEP goals.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with a variety of developmental and educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and related service providers to promote student success.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and sensory strategies to improve participation in school routines.
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and complete required Medicaid and IEP paperwork.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute meaningful recommendations regarding student needs and services.
