About The Position

Balance Point Wellness, LLC is an accredited community-based mental health and wellness organization serving individuals and families throughout Maryland. We provide mental health therapy and psychiatry services through community-based locations, Telehealth, and school-based programs. We are seeking qualified licensed therapists to provide mental health therapy services to children and adolescents in Harford County schools. This is a Mental Health Therapist position within the Harford County schools, not a Guidance Counselor position.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling required.
• Current Maryland licensure that authorizes the provision of mental health treatment.
• Successful completion of a background check is required.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation.

Nice To Haves

• Previous psychotherapy experience in a community-based setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload and provide ongoing individual mental health therapy.
• Provide clinically appropriate therapy services to children and adolescents.
• Complete psychosocial assessments.
• Develop and update person-centered treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
• Complete timely contact notes and clinical documentation for all sessions.
• Document all services through our cloud-based Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Collaborate with school personnel, families, and other members of the treatment team as appropriate.
• Provide services in accordance with professional standards and the needs of each student.
