About The Position

Family & Children’s Services is hiring a school-based children’s mental health therapist to work with children ages 4–18 at school sites. The therapist provides evidence-based treatment to children and families facing significant behavioral and emotional issues, including those living in high-stress environments. Services include assessments, treatment planning and updates, and individual, family, and group therapy. The therapist collaborates monthly with teachers and may occasionally provide services to children or adults through the office-based family-strengthening program. Therapists are primarily embedded at one school, with access to the client’s education team; some may serve multiple schools in an area. Schedules may offer flexibility and follow school schedules for virtual and no-school days. The annual salary is structured around 10 months of work and paid over 12 months. The role operates within the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model, using multidisciplinary teams and coordinated, whole-person care for people with mental health and substance use challenges. This is a safety-sensitive position under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act. Employees are subject to the agency’s Drug-Free Workplace Policy; possession of a medical marijuana license does not exclude an applicant.
