About The Position
The School-Based Health Social Worker provides Behavioral Health Services to patients within the School-Based Health Department managed by NCFHC. The Social Worker is involved in the evaluation and treatment of patients with behavioral health diagnoses and provides input and support for other clinical staff involved in the care of the patients. This is a school-based position that follows the school faculty calendar with paid school vacations, holidays, and snow days during the 10-month school year. The position will require travel to school-based locations.
Requirements
- New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or
- New York State Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or
- New York State Licensed Master Health Counselor (LMHC), or
- New York State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Excellent verbal, listening, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Evaluation and treatment of patients with behavioral health diagnoses.
- Provide input and support for other clinical staff involved in the care of the patients.
- Complete and accurate record keeping is essential for quality of care, treatment planning, and billing of behavioral health services.
