About The Position

Logan Health is seeking a licensed Behavioral Health Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, or LCPC) to join their school-based team. This role involves providing outpatient therapy services to students in kindergarten through fifth grade, as well as their families and school staff. Services include individual, group, and family therapy, screening assessments, brief interventions, care coordination, and prevention education, all within the school setting. The position will assist with coverage for schools in both Whitefish and Kalispell. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, and comfortable working across multiple school sites. Strong clinical judgment, the ability to work independently, and excellent collaboration skills are essential. Proficiency with technology and the ability to adapt to new systems are also important.

Requirements

Licensed LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT.
Experience providing therapy to children ranging from Kindergarten - 12th grade in a school-based or residential setting.
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related counseling field required.
Current Montana LCSW, LCPC or LMFT license required (or obtained before hire date).
RQI Responder within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care whichever comes first.
Ability to analyze, intervene and evaluate a range of psychosocial theory and methods as applicable to assigned area(s).
Experience and/or knowledge of behavioral health disorders and treatment modalities.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

Possess knowledge of evidence-based practice and experience in assessment, crisis assessment, brief therapies, and clinical case management preferred.
Possess knowledge of cultural, ethnic, social, historical and spiritual issues relevant to the provision of mental health treatment as applicable to assigned area(s) preferred.
De-escalation training successfully obtained within one (1) year of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide outpatient therapy services to students in kindergarten through fifth grade, as well as their families and school staff.
Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
Perform screening assessments and brief interventions.
Engage in care coordination and prevention education.
Triages referrals from providers and ensures on-going liaison occurs with stakeholders.
Performs initial and comprehensive assessments, including diagnostic evaluation, risk assessment, behavioral systems, level of care need, and other information necessary to determine treatment.
Performs as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, provides consultation, and education services.
Coordinates patient transitions into services and discharges from treatment.
Coordinates care, admissions, and/or referrals with appropriate stakeholders.
Completes progress notes and documentation in EMR for services provided to patient per department protocol.
Provides individual, group, and family therapy, clinical case management, and outreach services in an effort to fulfill the patient’s treatment goals, wellness and recovery.
Participates in development of individual and/or group treatment plans utilizing a variety of brief psychotherapeutic, psychosocial and/or psychoeducational modalities.
Provides crisis management.
Works with medical, clinical and support staff to arrange, mobilize, utilize, and coordinate a comprehensive range of community resources that effectively meet the identified patient and family needs.
Serves as a patient advocate and liaison with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Complies with the legal and regulatory laws, reporting, and practice standards within scope of practice.
