Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Must hold license as a LMSW, LMFT-A, LPC-A, LISW-CP, LMFT, or LPC in the state of SC.
  • Minimum of one year experience working with children and/or families, which may include internships.
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent development, family systems, and evidence-based behavioral health treatment approaches.
  • Experience providing individual, family, and group therapy services.
  • Strong crisis intervention, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and manage a clinical caseload effectively.
  • Understanding of HIPAA, Medicaid documentation requirements, and ethical clinical practice.
  • Valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation for travel between service locations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing services in school-based or community-based settings preferred.
  • Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or other special needs populations is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Provide meaningful, evidence-based behavioral health services to young children ages 3 to 5 within early childhood education settings.
  • Help children build emotional, social, and behavioral skills during their most formative years.
  • Partner closely with families, educators, and support teams to create lasting positive outcomes.
  • Support children through compassionate, developmentally appropriate therapeutic services designed to strengthen functioning across school, home, and community environments.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique emotional, behavioral, social, and developmental needs of young children ages 3 to 5.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based, play-based, and developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, educators, special education staff, and multidisciplinary teams to support each child's success across environments.
  • Support children with developmental disabilities, special needs, and behavioral health challenges by implementing individualized strategies that promote growth, regulation, and engagement.
  • Coordinate care with families, healthcare providers, schools, and community partners while connecting families to resources and supports that strengthen long-term outcomes.
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and provide crisis intervention, consultation, and ongoing progress monitoring as needed.
