About The Position

The School Aide assists in supervising children and integrating daily and long-term planning for classrooms in collaboration with Teachers and Administrators in the Schoenbaum Family Center at Weinland Park. The School Aide assists with operation tasks in an early childhood school. The incumbent ensures social, emotional, physical, and educational needs of children are met within the framework of the school's philosophy. The School Aide assists in problem solving with teaching teams and administrators to address school or child needs. The incumbent works in a flexible, collaborative, and research-based environment with hours being 8-5 or 8:30-5:30 daily with an hour break.

Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Minimum of one year experience teaching infant, toddler, or preschool age children
• All employees are required to complete and maintain certification in first aid, communicable disease, infant/child CPR, child abuse recognition training, and any other ODJFS/ODE mandated training.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, child development, or a related field.
