About The Position

As a School Age Teacher at Celebree School™, you will inspire and empower school-age children by supporting their growth and creativity. You will create a dynamic, engaging, and fun environment where children can thrive while upholding Celebree’s mission, vision, and values. You will also serve as a mentor and role model, helping children navigate the challenges and successes of their school-age years with confidence. The schedule is Monday through Friday for before- and after-care. Celebree School describes its approach as nurturing the growth of both children and team members. It offers a supportive environment with continuous learning, development opportunities, individual growth plans, and career pathways.

Requirements

Meet the requirements to be a lead teacher as approved by the governing State agency.
Have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of children’s behavioral and developmental stages.
Have knowledge of childcare licensing requirements.
Be able to manage a classroom.
Have strong organizational, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate patience and flexibility.

Responsibilities

Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning, creativity, and critical thinking among school-age children.
Manage the classroom in compliance with Office of Child Care regulations and company standards, policies, and procedures.
Provide a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for children, parents, and visitors.
Keep parents informed about their child's experiences and accomplishments.
Assist and supervise children during activities, and counsel them as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
Maintain the classroom’s appearance, cleanliness, and safety.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and achievements, tracking and celebrating each child’s progress.
