About The Position
Spring Education Group is a national network of independent schools serving students from preschool through 12th grade. Chesterbrook is seeking a qualified Child Care Teacher for its School Age after-school program, working with children ages 5–12. The role includes helping students with homework, playing games, and talking with them about their school day. The school seeks energetic, dedicated individuals who want to make a lasting difference in children’s lives by providing engaging educational experiences in a nurturing environment. The teacher designs and implements interactive, age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, and emotional growth; fosters a warm and consistent classroom routine; builds positive partnerships with families through ongoing communication; and collaborates with co-teachers and school leaders. The position requires meeting state licensing requirements and being authorized to work in the United States. The role involves frequent walking, standing, sitting, squatting, stooping, reaching, kneeling, rising from the floor, twisting, listening, reading, writing, and speaking English. It also often involves carrying, lifting, repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally pushing, pulling, or bending. Clear hearing and vision, with or without correction, are regularly required. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age and meet state licensing requirements.
- Prior experience in a licensed childcare center.
- A passion for early learning, creativity, and helping children discover new skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
