About The Position

Kids N Us is seeking an enthusiastic School Age Lead Teacher to plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child enrolled in its care. The role is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions for a group of children, and for creating a safe, nurturing classroom where children can learn and play. No experience is needed for applicants willing to be trained, though the qualifications section lists related experience and/or training.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Two years of related experience and/or training, as stated in the qualifications section.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid TB skin test.
Valid proof of MMR.
Valid proof of COVID vaccine or approved exemption.
Valid food handlers permit.
Valid first aid and CPR card.
Child Care Basics (30-hour course).
Initial Certificate or equivalent within five years.

Responsibilities

Create a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and play.
Bring warmth, patience, and understanding to the classroom.
Supervise a group of children and manage daily class functions.
Cultivate positive relationships with children, families, teachers, and staff.
Implement the school curriculum and assess students’ developmental needs.
Plan and implement activities that promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
