About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring part-time School-Age Childcare Staff for its Before and After School Program at Zane North Elementary School in Collingswood, New Jersey, for the 2026–2027 school year. The position follows the school calendar and may be scheduled for the morning program (7:00–8:30 a.m.), the afternoon program (2:45–5:45 p.m.), or both. Pay is $16.00 per hour. Staff lead activities for school-age children, support their learning and development, maintain a safe and engaging environment, and assist with program operations. The role is non-exempt.

Requirements

• Successfully pass all required state background checks.
• Be able to meet physical demands, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.
• Demonstrate a positive, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills when working with children, families, and colleagues.
• Have a consistent record of reliability and punctuality.

• High school diploma and/or one year of childcare experience; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities, as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and serve as a positive role model for children.
• Follow state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include maintaining attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
