About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School Age Childcare Site Supervisor for our After School Program at Lee F. Jackson Elementary School in White Plains, NY, for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is ideal for individuals who love working with children, possess energy, kindness, and patience, and enjoy encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. The position requires teamwork, effective communication with families, and a commitment to providing exceptional care. The program operates from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, following the school calendar. This part-time, non-exempt position is well-suited for parents seeking a schedule aligned with the school day, education majors or future teachers needing hands-on experience, and retirees looking to mentor children. The role focuses on ensuring program quality, maintaining adequate staffing, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing site inventory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13 years of age.
  • OR A School-age Child Care Credential or other Office recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period, and one year of experience working with children less than 13 years of age.
  • OR Associate’s degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field.
  • Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks.
  • Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
  • Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure kids are engaged, safe, and having fun every day.
  • Ensure the program reflects Healthy Kids Program’s model and families consistently choose to re-enroll.
  • Ensure the site is fully staffed every day with prepared and supported teachers.
  • Ensure the site operates in ratio at all times.
  • Ensure records are accurate and current.
  • Ensure the program is ready for inspection on any given day.
  • Ensure the site is well-stocked with the supplies and materials teachers need.
  • Manage restocking of supplies before they run out.
