About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School Age Childcare Site Supervisor for our After School Program at Lee F. Jackson Elementary School in White Plains, NY, for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt role follows the school calendar and operates in the afternoons from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The ideal candidate loves working with children, brings energy, kindness, and patience, and enjoys encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. This role requires teamwork, effective communication with families, and a commitment to providing exceptional care. The position is well-suited for parents seeking a schedule aligned with the school day, education majors or future teachers, and retirees looking for active mentoring opportunities. Success in this role involves ensuring program quality with engaged and safe children, maintaining full staffing, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing site inventory effectively.

Requirements

  • Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks.
  • Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
  • Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • A high school diploma or its equivalent; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13 years of age.
  • A School-age Child Care Credential or other Office recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period, and one year of experience working with children less than 13 years of age.
  • Associate’s degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure program quality with engaged, safe, and happy children.
  • Maintain full staffing at the site daily.
  • Ensure teachers are prepared and supported.
  • Operate the site in compliance with required ratios at all times.
  • Maintain accurate and current records.
  • Ensure the program is ready for inspection.
  • Manage site inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and materials for teachers.
  • Restock supplies before they run out.
