School-Age Childcare Site Director – After School
About The Position
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Site Director for their After School Program at William J. Christian Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and fun environment, and ensuring compliance with state and school policies. The position supports program operations, including attendance and registration. The ideal candidate loves working with children, brings energy and patience, encourages curiosity, and works well with teammates and families. Reliability, organization, and a commitment to exceptional care are key. This role is part-time and follows the school calendar, making it suitable for parents, education majors, and retirees.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or early childhood coursework preferred
- 1–3 years of experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or youth program setting
- Some experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
- Familiarity with before- and after-school program environments a plus
- Knowledge of state childcare licensing or school-age care regulations helpful but not required
- Calm, flexible, and resourceful in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to pass required background and fingerprint clearances.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
