About The Position

Elite Sports Medicine + Orthopedics is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Scheduling Support Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, communicating with patients over the phone, and staying highly organized. This full-time position is Monday through Friday and based at their Midtown location: 2004 Hayes Street, Nashville, TN.

Requirements

At least two years of appropriate medical office job experience required
Ability to perform multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously
Experience performing redundant tasks with minimal error rate
Experience working in potentially stressful situations
High-level customer service and communication skills
Excellent teamwork skills
Preference for activities involving face-to-face interaction
Ability to use good judgment in the course of work

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of medical practice procedures and terminology is helpful

Responsibilities

Answer high-volume incoming calls and return voicemails in a timely manner
Schedule new and returning patient appointments for multiple providers
Follow provider-specific scheduling protocols and scripts
Verify and update patient demographics, insurance, and medical records
Coordinate with referring providers and hospitals to obtain required documentation (referrals, imaging, records, etc.)
Ensure all patient information is complete prior to appointments
Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and team members
