About The Position

This role involves assisting dispatch with ensuring all Catch and Demand routes are covered, working with the client on must fills and other coverage, and verifying driver reported mileage against system generated data. The position also includes verifying and computing actual completed billable hours against estimated hours, preparing and maintaining weekly and monthly driver schedules, and reviewing schedules for efficiency and compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The Scheduling Supervisor will also assist with schedule changes and adjustments, coordinate operator assignments for special events, maintain scheduling records and documentation, organize scheduling files and historical records, and coordinate operator coverage for planned absences. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5 + years dispatch experience in transportation required
  • 5 + years of operational risk experience
  • 3 + years supervisory experience required
  • Able to exercise good judgment and creativity in decision-making
  • Possess excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interpret and explain regulations and policies to others
  • Possess the temperament necessary for maintaining amiable relations with various levels of company personnel.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize.
  • Must have high level of attention to details
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
