About The Position

Up Health System- Marquette part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network with facilities coast to coast, is seeking a Senior Scheduling Coordinator. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely patient scheduling, managing the flow through the perioperative period, and maintaining essential communication within the department. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong communication skills to support physician offices, anesthesia, and the management team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• 2 years Medical Office experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Associates Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Receives patient scheduling information from physician offices and electronically adjusts schedule, ensuring accuracy and appropriate time allotment for procedures.
• Arranges schedules to ensure timely patient flow through perioperative period.
• Keeps schedule updated with add-on’s and cancellations.
• Communicates with anesthesia regarding coverage and concerns.
• Communicates any special needs for procedures, or concerns regarding patient care to manager/director or charge RN.
• Maintains calendar and updates with physician vacations and department changes.
• Maintains department call schedule for contact center.
• Calls every patient prior to procedure to confirm appointment, provide directions and give patient arrival time.
