This position is responsible for the scheduling for all Healthcare employees (Assisted Living, Memory Care, Home Care & Skilling Nursing/Long Term Care). This position is part of an on call rotation with the healthcare team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience in long-term care or a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in clerical office work, reception, scheduling, or a related field is also preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic recruitment and HR practices, employment law and regulations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of functions, organization, policy, regulations and procedures of a long-term care/skilled nursing facility.
  • Ability to demonstrate tact, restraint, and professionalism in difficult situations.
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment (multi-phone lines, fax machines, computers, photocopiers). Ability to fill out forms, keep accurate records, and submit reports.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

  • Understand the importance of resident rights in healthcare as well as the community as a whole, and advocate for operations, processes, and decisions that are in residents’ best interests.
  • Develop and coordinate staffing schedules for all health care employees. Keep accurate documentation on staffing rosters, actual schedule of illnesses, no call/no shows, request for time off and absences.
  • Complete status reports and communicates all personnel information on status changes, new hires, transfers, and terminations to HR Director.
  • Notify managers regarding employees when necessary regarding missed punches and not taking breaks or lunches. Communicate staffing changes to Director of Health Services or alternates.
  • Attend and participate in continuing education programs and in-services.
  • Be constantly aware of safety and follow up on identified risks. Respond to emergency calls on campus per protocol.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
