About The Position

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Scheduling Coordinator to join our team! The scheduler coordinator arranges for the efficient and orderly scheduling of procedures ordered by the physician; coordinates schedules with physicians and facilities, prepares and completes all necessary patient consent forms, hospital orders, obtains doctor’s signatures, and works closely with authorization specialist. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least three months gastroenterology or other clinical related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to use hospital information system, and operate basic computer functions and software, and fax/copier/scanners
  • Demonstrates great ability to communicate effectively with providers, management, staff, and patients
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as clinical notes and physician orders, as well as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to speak effectively to patients, their families, referring offices, insurance companies, diagnostic facilities, surgical facilities via phone, fax, computerized ordering systems and in person
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Employee must possess the ability to calmly and efficiently deal with problems
  • Must be approachable and work well with others
