About The Position

Consumers Energy is Michigan’s largest energy provider, providing natural gas and/or electricity to 6.8 million of the state’s 10 million residents in all 68 Lower Peninsula counties. Location : This position is onsite and may be assigned to any Consumers Energy Gas HQ located throughout Michigan's lower Peninsula. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).

  • Associate Degree in Business or related with 2 years of experience with scheduling or related work; customer facing; exposure to data and reports OR High School Diploma with 4 years of experience with scheduling or related work; customer facing; exposure to data and reports

Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute a daily plan for the work; may include organizing and dispatching assignments, facilitating meetings, short-range forecasting, etc.
  • Communicate effectively inline with supported business unit processes/procedures; may include interacting with supervision, field operations, or other operational supporting groups
  • Utilize various systems to monitor work, create/submit orders and requests, observe data and make scheduling adjustments as necessary. Some roles may require a deeper dive into data review to make appropriate modifications.
  • Support emergent matters inline with the business units processes/procedures; may include escalations, volume monitoring, etc.
  • Perform business unit specific tasks as needed; may include various reporting and taking appropriate action, identifying training opportunities, creating standards, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary
