About The Position

Develop pursuits, pre-construction and construction job schedules to maintain timely and profitable job completion. This role involves assisting with developing scheduling department procedures, updating and monitoring the quality of project team schedule updates, and leading the development of bid/proposal/project schedules and subcontractor schedules with project teams, self-perform, and trade partners. The Scheduler will also develop schedule detail, perform preconstruction and construction schedule updates, prepare and analyze “as built” schedules, and prepare and oversee month-end schedule reports and narratives. Key responsibilities include flagging scheduling risks and communicating them with teams, performing delay and productivity analysis to calculate costs and write entitlement narratives for change orders and claims, and assisting in mediation preparation and trade contractor negotiations. The role also involves assisting project teams with measures recommendation regarding preserving rights for changes and claims, performing and overseeing P6 database management, activity coding, cost, and resource loading in P6 schedules, and performing P6 and hands-on schedule trainings. Additionally, the Scheduler will prepare and communicate weekly KPIs for Project and Self-Perform Teams, assist with reporting scheduling metrics, status, and project health to Project & Division management, and use knowledge of financial management systems, contract and notice requirements to support teams with scheduling. Other responsibilities will be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or equivalent
  • 7 years of construction experience including 5 years scheduling experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience with construction-related scheduling
  • Critical Path Method
  • Working knowledge of construction methods and processes
  • Knowledge of financial management systems and construction cost accounting
  • Knowledge of contract requirements and notice requirements
  • Estimating and scheduling skills
  • Understands job cost information
  • Able to read and understand plans and specifications
  • Proficiency with P6 Professional, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in scheduling and productivity claims, a plus
  • Working knowledge of virtual construction technology systems
