About The Position

The Scheduler performs designated scheduling functions for the Urology Specialists of Atlanta practice. The role schedules surgeries, procedures, and diagnostic testing and requires general knowledge of specified surgical procedures, exam preparations, exam sequencing, and related functions. Work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), six months of clerical, secretarial, or customer service experience, or completion of post-secondary education.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of a medical terminology course or commensurate experience.
• Proficiency in using and applying MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Previous experience in a hospital or medical office scheduling environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in using a computerized scheduling system.
• Prior experience in insurance precertification.
• One year of secretarial experience at a healthcare organization.
