About The Position

Alleguard is a leader in Protective Foam Solutions, dedicated to expanding and shaping their customers' businesses across various industries including construction, protective packaging, and cold-chain. They offer innovative solutions and support to help customers succeed. The Scheduler position is responsible for producing daily load schedules and plant revenue forecasts by assigning orders to optimized loads. This role involves close collaboration with transportation, production, and sales teams to ensure products are shipped on time and in full, meeting or exceeding customer demands.

Requirements

Transportation and Logistics highly preferred
Administrative knowledge and skills in transportation
Shipping and Receiving knowledge preferred
Math, computer (Microsoft Windows, Excel, etc.), and organizational skills
Experience in production, planning, or other related fields
Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and multitask
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in teams

Responsibilities

Serve as the direct link between production, shipping, transportation, and sales to ensure timely shipment of products to customers by deadline.
Align workload with production schedules, coordinating shipments based on order completion estimates and transportation resource availability on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Demonstrate detail orientation and administrative skills, with the ability to understand the company's shipping and receiving practices.
Learn and understand outside company cultures to enhance customer service and reduce transportation cost exposure, thereby growing the bottom line.
Review and monitor inbound material needs and intercompany transfer schedules to ensure critical components are received/transferred to meet company needs.
Confer with other departments (production, transportation, customer service, shipping) to determine work progress and completion dates.
Analyze and report daily on details and specifics for current and forecasted shipments.
Contribute to managing short-term forecasting capabilities and on-time, in-full (OTIF) metrics within the BI platform.
Facilitate weekly delivery and scheduling calls for assigned plant(s).
Perform other duties as assigned by the Scheduling Manager.
