About The Position

The Scheduler II is responsible for scheduling complex procedures and appointments; ensuring thorough and complete information is obtained. Facilitates the scheduling and registration process and optimizes efficiencies and workflows. Works as a liaison between family, insurance carrier, physician office, and clinical professionals to assure scheduling occurs in a highly accurate and timely manner. Assists with covering for the front office as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of scheduling and registration experience in a healthcare setting using a computerized scheduling system or two (2) years of front office experience
  • High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computer software, i.e. Microsoft products
  • Ability to pleasantly handle interruptions in work-tasks due to greeting people & answering a multiple phone line
  • Excellent organizational skills, critical thinking skills, judgment, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work harmoniously
  • Ability to obtain authorizations
  • Knowledge of Government and Commercial insurance systems
