About The Position

The Scanning Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all UPC marked items in the store through regular testing and verification. This role involves frequent price verification, ensuring timely and accurate price changes on items, shelf tags, and in-store signs, and maintaining correspondence with the in-store price file. The Scanning Coordinator also monitors pricing for errors, ensures productivity standards are met by the scanning team, and maintains department records. Additionally, this position involves supervising the repair and maintenance of scanning equipment, providing a professional example, assisting customers with product and department inquiries, and attending required meetings.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Tests, verifies and scans all UPC marked items in store on a rotation basis.
Performs frequent price verifying on direct-store delivery items.
Ensures changes for all prices marked on all items, shelf tags and in-store signs.
Ensures all in-store price markings are timely and accurate.
Maintains exact correspondence with the in-store price file.
Continually monitors pricing for errors and ensures they are corrected immediately.
Ensures self and scanning team members maintain productivity standards.
Maintains adequate and appropriate department records at all times.
Updates price books on all price changes on a weekly basis.
Supervises repairs and maintenance of scanning equipment.
Provides a professional example for other team members to follow.
Is aware of product and department locations and assists guests with their inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
Attends and contributes to departmental, store and company meetings as required.
