About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for weighing boxes of product, ensuring the accuracy of weight, labels, and codes. The role requires the consistent use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations. The work schedule is 4:30 PM - 1:35 AM.

Requirements

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
• Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) - Hairnet, beard net, shoe covers, gloves, smock, earplugs.
• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC).
• Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift.
• Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production.
• Must be able to lift and push up to 70 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Poultry experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh product and place correct label on box.
• Lift and place 40 - 70 pound boxes of product onto track.
• Ensure proper ice coverage on all product around employee’s scale.
• May be required to dump product from lugs into a combo.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Perform all tasks assigned by members of management.
• Follow directions and work in other departments as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to safety requirements.
• Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
