About The Position

Waste Connections has an immediate opening for an Scale House Attendant/Clerk to join the team at our location in Palestine, Texas. This role involves greeting and directing customers and employees, tracking weight information, calculating payments, and ensuring incoming loads are safe and appropriate. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel. Flexible availability, including weekends, is required.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Spanish & English a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station.
• Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.
• Calculate payments for customers.
• Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.
• Approach all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
