About The Position

Perform work involving the erection and dismantling of scaffolding, operation of heavy equipment, rigging equipment loads, and completion of various construction projects. The role includes reading blueprints and specifications to determine work scope and required materials; preparing materials; erecting, reinforcing, and dismantling scaffolds; and installing scaffold components and access structures.

The position requires working at heights and in confined spaces, potentially exceeding 200 feet, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Overtime, nights, and weekends may be required based on workload. Employees must comply with safety and project rules and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• May require a high school diploma or equivalent and previous years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Must possess working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management and supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently.
• Able to meet all physical requirements.
• Must have all required tools.
• Able to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces, potentially exceeding 200 feet.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by workload.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
• Identify tools required for tasks and measure, mark, and cut wooden or metallic materials to specifications.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding for buildings and other structures; install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.
• Construct, reinforce, and dismantle pre-constructed scaffolds.
• Build and construct wooden scaffolds and auxiliary items.
• Perform rigging of equipment loads.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
• Perform other duties as required.
