About The Position

Perform work involving the erection and dismantling of scaffolding, operation of heavy equipment, rigging equipment loads, and completion of various construction projects. The role includes constructing, reinforcing, and dismantling scaffolds, including wooden scaffolds and auxiliary items.

Requirements

• May require a high school diploma or equivalent, with previous years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management and supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently.
• Able to meet all physical requirements.
• Must have all required tools.
• Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces, which may exceed 200 feet.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including locations and quantities and sizes of required materials.
• Identify tools required for tasks and measure, mark, and cut wooden or metallic materials to specifications.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding for buildings and other structures; install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.
• Construct, reinforce, and dismantle pre-constructed scaffolds.
• Build and construct wooden scaffolds and auxiliary items.
• Perform work involving the rigging of equipment loads.
• Observe and comply with safety and project rules.
• Perform other duties as required.
