September 2026 SCADA & Cybersecurity Co-op Student
About The Position
ATCO Gas operates systems that transport natural gas across Alberta, delivering it everywhere from small towns to large industrial sites. Engineering work is completed to build and maintain this natural gas system. We are looking for a Business, Computer Science or Computer Engineering student to join the ATCO Natural Gas – Utilities Standards Team. Work term starts in September 2026 for an 8-month period in Edmonton. Under ATCO's SCADA & Cyber Security department, you will be supporting our project to modernize our SCADA displays (graphical interface) to new standards. Your work will include redrawing SCADA displays and site schematic drawings which are used daily by multiple departments within ATCO. This role is a great opportunity to develop display building skills and get hands on experience working with SCADA.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a co-op (or internship) program at a recognized Canadian university.
- Have excellent computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly and concisely, using appropriate technical vocabulary.
