Responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and administering Small Business Administration (SBA) construction and renovation loan transactions, ensuring compliance with SBA 7(a) and/or 504 program requirements, bank credit policy, and loan documentation standards. Protects the bank’s interest by overseeing construction loan documentation, lien perfection, and the analysis, approval, and administration of construction draw disbursements from loan approval through project completion and final servicing conversion. Construction loan activities support owner‑occupied small business projects, including new construction, renovations, tenant improvements, and expansions for properties such as retail, office, industrial, mixed‑use, and special‑purpose facilities eligible under SBA guidelines. Residential exposure may include mixed‑use properties where permitted by SBA program rules. Works in close partnership with Relationship Managers, SBA Underwriters, and Loan Administrators, serving as the primary liaison with borrowers, attorneys, construction consultants, title companies, and SBA service providers throughout all phases of the construction and disbursement process. Ensures adherence to SBA authorization terms, eligibility requirements, use‑of‑proceeds limitations, and post‑approval conditions. Must meet requirements to be commissioned as a Notary Public.
