Music & Arts is seeking a music educator to teach saxophone lessons and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels; communicates with students and parents about goals and progress; and partners with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The minimum qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience, and two years of music teaching experience, especially with saxophone. Further teaching experience with related instruments is a plus. Advanced music degrees, professional teaching memberships or certifications, and eight or more years of teaching experience—especially across multiple instruments—are preferred. The listed pay is $16 per hour for non-teaching work and $10.50–$21 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience. The posting notes that actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other factors. Music & Arts offers gig leave for musician employees, a 401(k) with company match, an employee discount program, and other benefits and perks.
