About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a saxophone teacher to teach and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels, builds positive relationships with students and parents through communication, goal-setting, and progress updates, and works with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The role is part-time and located at Store #7346 in Monroe, New York.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience, especially with saxophone.

Nice To Haves

• Further teaching experience with related instruments.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
