About The Position
As a Sawmill Supervisor at Interfor, you’ll lead a talented team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safe and efficient flow of logs and lumber through the mill. You’ll drive productivity, quality, and cost improvements while fostering open communication and a culture of excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role where your expertise in sawmill operations will make a direct impact on our success. The shift for this position is Night Shift.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma
- 3+ years in sawmill operations
- 1–2 years in a supervisory role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Ability to lead and inspire teams in a dynamic setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork
- Analytical mindset with a knack for resolving challenges
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with optimization is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Champion a safe work environment and ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
- Identify and implement opportunities to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
- Oversee manufacturing processes to maintain high quality standards.
- Motivate and support production and maintenance staff to achieve targets.
