About The Position

Greif is hiring a Saw Operator to operate routine production machinery according to provided prints and specifications. The role produces parts to required quantities and established specifications and tolerances, measures finished parts with precision tools, and records production output and errors. The operator also checks equipment setup and alignment, performs basic adjustments and maintenance, and keeps the work area clean, safe, and orderly while following safety regulations.

Requirements

• Typically possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machinery.
• Fundamental understanding of production equipment or ability to learn it quickly.

Responsibilities

• Operate routine production machinery in accordance with provided prints and specifications.
• Produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
• Measure finished parts with precision tools to ensure they meet function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Maintain logs and records of units produced and report errors that result in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Inspect equipment before use to ensure proper setup and alignment; perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
