About The Position

The Saw Operator selects, sets up, adjusts, and safely operates industrial metal saws to cut materials according to job orders and production schedules. The role requires interpreting technical drawings, bills of materials, and job travelers; inspecting materials and finished cuts; managing materials through the production process; and maintaining equipment and a safe, orderly work area. The position is full-time on the day shift at CMTB Madill in Madill, Oklahoma, with no travel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to precise, high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and/or work instructions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate in a diverse team environment.
• Commitment to safety and knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, production demands, and workflow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to meet the physical demands described, including pushing and pulling materials, occasional lifting and carrying, precise control use, prolonged standing and walking, bending, stooping or kneeling, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to work safely in temperature extremes and a loud environment, and to wear required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.

• Vocational training or certification in fabrication or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Select, set up, adjust, and safely operate industrial metal saws to cut materials according to job orders and production schedules.
• Interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and job travelers to meet specified length, angle, and tolerance requirements.
• Inspect incoming raw materials for defects before cutting.
• Measure and verify completed cuts using tape measures, calipers, or micrometers.
• Pull, sort, and organize raw materials from inventory; count and group completed parts accurately and route them to the next production stage.
• Perform daily pre-use machinery inspections; clean and lubricate equipment, adjust blade speed and tension, and replace worn or defective saw blades as needed.
• Follow OSHA standards and company safety procedures, including PPE and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free workspace.
