This position works after the chiller re-hangers and halves the one legged birds, and then the resulting saddles using a circular saw. The duties include retrieving a wog with one leg and with one hand on the leg and the other on the wings, angling the wog so that the carcass is halved as it is introduced into the saw blade, and placing the front half onto the table. The employee will then halve the saddle and place parts into appropriate containers. The role requires the ability to perform duties while standing during the duration of the shift, work in a wet & damp area, and tolerate cold temperatures. Good hand dexterity is a must, as is the willingness and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment and keep up with line speeds. Other duties may be assigned. Applicants must provide their government identification number for verification of previous Tyson employment history. This facility does not accept applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times and accepts rehires after 180 days, though Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
