This position works after the chiller re-hangers and halves the one legged birds, and then the resulting saddles using a circular saw. The duties involve retrieving a wog with one leg and with one hand on the leg and the other on the wings, angling the wog so that the carcass is halved as it is introduced into the saw blade. The front half is then placed onto the table, and the saddle is halved. Parts are placed into appropriate containers. The role requires the ability to perform duties while standing for the duration of the shift, work in a wet & damp area, and tolerate cold temperatures. Good hand dexterity is essential. Applicants must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment and keep up with line speeds. Other duties may be assigned. Tyson Foods has specific rehire policies, including a 180-day waiting period and limitations on the number of times an individual can be employed by Tyson.
