About The Position

Five Rivers Analytics LLC is seeking a Satellite Operator/Controller at the Vandenberg Remote Tracking Station (VTS). The role executes satellite operations and maintenance activities to sustain the operability of communications-electronics equipment at Remote Tracking Stations. The position is on-site. Pay is $30.00–$32.43 per hour. Benefits and leave are defined under the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

• Possess an active Secret clearance or higher.
• Have CompTIA Security+ certification or be able to obtain it within six months of hire.
• Have an associate's degree in Electronics, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Be familiar with and able to operate electronic test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, signal generators, power meters, and data analyzers.
• Be able to climb high ladders, work on elevated platforms and antennas, and perform strenuous physical work including walking, lifting, pulling loads, bending, kneeling, sitting, and reaching overhead.

Nice To Haves

• Have one of the following DoD 8140.03-compliant certifications: CompTIA Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.
• Experience working with Linux.
• Experience interfacing with military personnel and government customers.

Responsibilities

• Configure, operate, and maintain assigned systems during satellite support, test, and maintenance activities.
• Initiate, direct, and verify completion of operational events during acquisition, tracking, and commanding functions for each operational support.
• Maintain awareness of station equipment status.
• Repair and align equipment in accordance with technical orders, technical manuals, or commercial manuals.
• Ensure Preventive Maintenance Inspection activities are completed as scheduled.
• Maintain vehicle folders.
• Prepare daily activity log entries.
• Perform required systems administration on mission-related equipment.
