About The Position

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network, aiming to deliver fast, reliable internet globally. The Leo satellite constellation is a key part of this mission. We are looking for talented mid-level integration technicians to execute development, production integration, and test activities for the Leo satellite in final integration.

Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment, or relevant trade school certification
  • 1+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments (i.e., Calipers, multi-meters, torque wrenches)
  • 1+ years working with test tools and test methods that adequately validate the system
  • Experience reading, interpreting and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings
  • Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experienced in a dynamics/functional testing environment
  • 1+ years of experience working in aviation/aerospace field specializing in production, operations, or maintenance
  • Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
  • Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Experience working with Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration, Fiber Optics/Optical and/or Harness Integration

Responsibilities

  • Follow work instructions and safety procedures
  • Operation of Dynamic test equipment (Vibration, Shock, Acoustic.)
  • Assemble tooling and assist with equipment maintenance.
  • Communicate production progress and blockers to engineering and leadership
  • Operate a crane holding sensitive equipment with a payload up to 3000 lbs
  • Ability to work with various hand tools and calibrated equipment
  • Use computer software programs for running tests
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient, safe and effective work environment
  • Execution of assigned tasks based on production requirements and priorities.
  • Communicate production blockers and process changes to engineers and leadership where applicable.
  • Attend daily meetings to discuss priorities, safety, and quality issues or concerns.
  • Thrive in a fast paced and high-stress production environment with changing priorities and objectives.
  • Be detail oriented and highly motivated.
