About The Position

The Senior SAP System Administrator will manage enterprise-scale SAP landscapes for the State of North Carolina in Raleigh, NC. The role has deep SAP HANA expertise and responsibility for administering more than 100 SAP HANA databases, providing Basis support across ABAP and Java stacks, coordinating upgrades and patches, and ensuring high availability in a large, regulated environment. The position includes on-call duty, daily system health checks, and support for migration efforts to SAP NS2 and S/4HANA Cloud/Private Edition. The engagement is listed as 12+ months.

Requirements

• Experience in SAP HANA database administration, including installation, configuration, patching, tuning, backup and recovery, and system replication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the SAP HANA subject matter expert across 100+ databases; perform replication, backups, and performance optimization.
• Provide SAP NetWeaver Basis administration for ABAP and Java stacks, including transports, kernel/SPS updates, and system copies.
• Handle 24x7 on-call duty, daily system checks, and incident and problem management via Solution Manager.
• Execute HANA system replication, refreshes, and system copies, and support NS2 migrations.
• Apply HANA revisions, SAP kernel updates, and support stacks; monitor capacity and proactively resolve issues.
