The SAP Business Analyst – Manufacturing & Logistics is responsible for analyzing, designing, testing, and implementing solutions using SAP modules that support manufacturing operations, logistics execution, and warehouse management in a global manufacturing and distribution environment. Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams, departmental leaders, and external consultants, this role understands operational requirements, identifies process gaps, and proposes best practices that improve efficiency and support business objectives, including during periods of organizational growth and change such as mergers, acquisitions, and system integrations. This role also provides configuration support, end-user training, and documentation for SAP PP, LE, WM, MM, and related modules and applications.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree and 5 to 7 years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a global instance of SAP ECC 6.0 or higher (S/4HANA experience a plus) with hands-on configuration, new enhancements, and break-fix support for SAP PP, LE, WM, and MM modules in a manufacturing environment
  • Participation in at least one full lifecycle SAP implementation required.
  • Work experience in a global manufacturing or distribution company required.
  • Proficiency in SAP PP: MRP, production orders, BOMs, routings, work centers, production versions, capacity planning, and shop floor control.
  • Proficiency in SAP LE/WM: logistics execution, goods movements, transfer orders, outbound delivery processing, shipping execution, and warehouse structure configuration.
  • Strong understanding of MM integration with PP and LE including procurement, inventory management, and goods receipt/issue processes.
  • Awareness of SD integration with LE for order-to-delivery processes required.
  • Analytical ability to work with complex manufacturing and logistics processes, perform root cause analysis to identify, diagnose, find opportunities, and solve problems.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical and business information and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to perform analysis ensuring SAP system functionality meets operational and business requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office environment and standard business applications; experience with SAP reporting tools and transaction-level analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of SAP project deliverables in the areas of Production Planning (PP), Logistics Execution (LE), Warehouse Management (WM), and Materials Management (MM), including blueprints, functional and technical specifications, system configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.
  • Understand and maintain SAP master data integrity, information flow processes, and architecture structure across PP, LE, WM, and MM modules in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Communicate and record project status, tasks, risks, and time usage to management and stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution and effective decision-making.
  • Develop documentation that supports change control and enables training and change management activities.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting, system audits, and analysis as required to support operational decision-making.
  • Provide business system analysis and process redesign expertise within Operations and Supply Chain functions to translate business requirements into system solutions.
  • Perform SAP configuration in PP, LE, WM, and MM as required to support functional requirements based on System Enhancement Requests and projects.
  • Configure and support core manufacturing and logistics processes including production orders, MRP, goods movements, transfer orders, delivery processing, and shipping execution in a global SAP landscape.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and system integration activities within SAP PP, LE, WM, and MM, including entity onboarding, data migration, master data harmonization, and cutover planning for manufacturing and logistics operations.
  • Identify areas for improvement that support the goals and objectives of the company's Strategic Plans, with a focus on operational efficiency, waste reduction, and manufacturing performance.
  • Provide guidance in working with cross-functional global teams to improve manufacturing and logistics systems and processes, drive productivity, and support savings or revenue initiatives.
  • Conduct interviews, gather information, and collaborate with Operations, Warehouse, and Supply Chain end users to understand and document current business processes and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Utilize and promote continuous improvement concepts and tools, including Lean manufacturing principles where applicable.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban; ability to work effectively in an iterative, cross-functional environment.
  • Test systems and processes prior to rollouts or integrations, including outlining test requirements such as regression and negative testing, across a global SAP landscape covering PP, LE, WM, and MM processes.
  • Work with other Enterprise Solutions team members and project teams on implementation strategies that impact the end-user in a non-disruptive approach.
  • Manage and provide end-user support of existing business solutions; coach and lead knowledge exchange to promote shared information and success across Operations and Warehouse teams.
  • Analyze operational datasets and create visualizations to support data-driven decision-making across manufacturing and logistics functions.
