About The Position

Innova Solutions is hiring an SAP HCM Payroll Consultant for a W-2 contract lasting 6+ months. The position is remote with travel in the USA. The consultant will lead end-to-end SAP HCM US Payroll configuration, enhancements, and production support, including incident, problem, and change management. The role includes designing, building, and troubleshooting payroll schemas and PCRs; managing US tax configuration and issues; and configuring and supporting BSI settings and updates. The consultant will deliver standard US payroll configuration covering union contracts, wage types, personnel areas and subareas, payroll areas, and garnishments. They will also support third-party integrations with UKG/Kronos and SuccessFactors, including interfaces, mappings, reconciliations, monitoring, and error handling. The role leads testing cycles, parallel payroll testing, reconciliation, and cutover planning and execution. It also produces functional specifications, configuration documentation, and support runbooks; partners with HR/Payroll, Time, Finance, and technical teams; resolves cross-functional defects; and mentors junior consultants while contributing to delivery governance, estimates, and work planning. The consultant will lead requirements-to-solution delivery and help drive payroll stability.

Requirements

Extensive experience in SAP HCM US Payroll, including production support.
Strong expertise designing and troubleshooting complex PCRs and schemas.
Proven experience configuring US taxes and resolving US tax-related payroll issues in SAP HCM Payroll.
Hands-on experience with BSI configuration, support, and update cycles.
Experience with standard US payroll configuration, including union contracts, wage types, personnel areas and subareas, and garnishments.
Experience integrating SAP HCM with UKG/Kronos and/or SuccessFactors, including interface and operational support.
Strong client-facing communication and documentation skills.
Ability to lead workstreams independently.

Nice To Haves

SAP Time Management knowledge and time-to-payroll integration experience.
Experience with integration platforms such as SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI and interface monitoring tools.
Payroll compliance and reconciliation experience in high-volume or multi-state payroll environments.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end SAP HCM US Payroll configuration, enhancements, and operational support, including incident, problem, and change management.
Design, build, and troubleshoot payroll schemas and PCRs, including wage type processing, retroactivity, rule logic, validations, error handling, and payroll log analysis.
Own US tax configuration and troubleshooting, including tax updates and production issues.
Configure and maintain BSI settings and support updates, validation, impact analysis, and issue resolution.
Configure US payroll elements including union contracts, wage types, personnel areas and subareas, payroll areas, and garnishments.
Support and troubleshoot integrations with UKG/Kronos and SuccessFactors, including interfaces, mappings, reconciliations, monitoring, and error handling.
Lead unit, SIT, and UAT testing cycles, parallel payroll testing, reconciliation, and cutover planning and execution.
Produce and review functional specifications, configuration and workbook documentation, and support runbooks, maintaining audit-ready traceability.
Partner with HR/Payroll, Time, Finance, and technical teams, including ABAP and integration teams, to deliver solutions and resolve cross-functional defects.
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to delivery governance, estimates, and work planning.
Lead requirements-to-solution delivery and drive payroll stability.
