About The Position

The SAP Internship Experience Program (iXp) is a global, strategic, paid internship program designed to provide university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This internship is positioned as the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact. The intern will work on SAP Globalization Services’ AI-driven automation platform, supporting next-generation Spec-to-Content and Knowledge Graph initiatives. The role involves working on real production services and building intelligent automation capabilities to support SAP’s global localization and compliance processes.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML development, including practical exposure to machine learning concepts, generative AI, embeddings, or LLM-based application development.
• Familiarity with SQL and database design principles.
• Exposure to Git, GitHub, or similar source control systems.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• A curious and agile mindset, with a passion for learning and the resilience to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate ideas clearly and effectively.
• Emotional intelligence and cultural awareness that support inclusive teamwork and thoughtful stakeholder engagement.
• A growing foundation in business acumen and emerging technologies—especially artificial intelligence—paired with a results-oriented approach and the courage to take initiative.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SAP BTP, CAP, OData, or enterprise application development.
• Familiarity with cloud-native application development.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or automated testing.
• Basic understanding of ABAP concepts or SAP configuration content processes.

Responsibilities

• Implement high-quality, maintainable code in Python, Java, and/or JavaScript.
• Build backend and frontend components that integrate with SAP Business Technology Platform, AI/ML services, and enterprise data sources.
• Contribute to SAP’s internal Knowledge Graph capabilities using RDF, SPARQL, and related technologies.
• Support database schema design, data ingestion pipelines, and integration workflows across SAP systems.
• Participate in unit testing, debugging, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and pair programming with senior engineers.
• Document code, design decisions, and technical artifacts for long-term maintainability.
• Deliver production-grade features or components.
• Contribute measurably to at least one end-to-end workflow, such as API integration, Knowledge Graph query logic, UI functionality, or AI processing.
• Produce well-documented code, tests, and design artifacts that can be maintained by the team after the internship.
