About The Position

Clarkston Consulting is seeking a motivated, self-driven SAP FICO Solution Architect to deliver business solutions to clients in the life sciences, consumer products, and retail industries. The role involves leading the design, architecture, and deployment of SAP solutions in the Finance & Controlling area, translating business outcomes and requirements into end-to-end processes and technical solutions, and guiding consultants and client personnel through implementation. The architect also supports clients through training and technical assistance, identifies opportunities to improve their competitive advantage, and contributes to scoping engagements and developing proposals.

Consultants travel an estimated 30–50% depending on client and project needs. When not at a client site or traveling, they work from a home office. Relocation is not required. Clarkston offers colleague and leader mentorship and internal and external professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience and deep expertise in SAP FICO.
• At least 3 full life-cycle projects.
• Expertise in SAP solution design and development.
• Excellent knowledge of Finance business processes.
• Team-lead experience.
• Flexibility and adaptability, including the ability to work across design and hands-on configuration responsibilities and stretch into new roles.
• Thorough client services orientation and experience taking an active role in executing engagements and project plans or tasks.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to present and write at publication-quality level to communicate findings and recommendations.
• A 4-year degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and deployment of SAP solutions within the SAP FICO area.
• Facilitate business process reviews to gather expected business outcomes and functional requirements, and document end-to-end processes and business requirements.
• Design and develop SAP FICO functions, including configuration to meet client requirements and integration with other modules.
• Identify opportunities to improve clients’ competitive advantage using relevant industry experience and leading practices.
• Advise clients on industry trends and issues and their potential impact.
• Lead and guide consultants and client personnel implementing SAP FICO.
• Lead analysis and design sessions to develop requirements for client solutions.
• Manage and oversee the design and development of customized reports.
• Provide general technical support to clients and conduct training as required.
• Assist with scoping prospective engagements and developing proposals.
